What data we process and why

Ride, courier and business account requests. When you request a ride via the website, we process the information you provide in the form: pick-up and destination address, time, ride details, name, phone number, e-mail address, where applicable company, cost centre and billing address, as well as details of another person for whom you are booking. The purpose is to handle your request and the ride, the confirmation, invoicing and communication with you. The legal basis is the initiation and performance of the contract of carriage.

Information on support needs. If you require particular support, such as help getting in and out of the vehicle or taking a walking frame (rollator) along, we process this information solely to plan the ride. We do not collect health data and provide no medical care.

Storage of requests. All requests from the forms on this website are stored in a database at Cloudflare, Inc. (data centre in Western Europe, currently London, United Kingdom) and are accessed only by us for processing. We do not store IP addresses in the process.

Origin of a request. Together with your request, we store which page brought you to our website: the landing page, where applicable the referring website (only its address, such as a search engine), and campaign details from the link (utm parameters) or a click identifier from a Google ad (gclid). This serves to evaluate which advertising and which listings lead to requests. Until submission, this information is only held in your browser's session storage; no cookie is set.

Contact form. Name, phone number, optionally e-mail address and your message, in order to respond to your enquiry.

Cancellation and changes. Booking number, name, phone number and your request, in order to cancel or reschedule the ride and to confirm this to you.

WhatsApp. If you write to us via the WhatsApp button, the privacy provisions of WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) apply. We use WhatsApp only to communicate about your ride and do not transfer any contact lists.

Address suggestions. When you fill in the address fields, your entries are transmitted for the address search to the mapping service of the Swiss federal government (api3.geo.admin.ch, Federal Office of Topography swisstopo) in order to suggest matching Swiss addresses. Only the search text you enter is transmitted.

Estimated fare and route. If you have an estimated fare calculated, the pick-up and destination addresses you enter are converted into coordinates via the federal address search, and these coordinates are transmitted to a routing service that calculates the route (currently the OSRM demo server of FOSSGIS e.V., Germany). Only coordinates are transmitted, no names or contact details. The estimated fare itself is calculated in your browser. Provider and contractual basis: to be reviewed before publication.

Map. The map on the contact page is only loaded from OpenStreetMap after you click. In doing so, the OpenStreetMap Foundation receives your IP address.

Fonts. The fonts used are hosted on our own server. No data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose when the website is accessed.

Protection against abuse. To keep automated requests out, our forms are checked with Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). Technical characteristics of your browser and connection are evaluated, usually without any action on your part. Turnstile does not set advertising cookies; we do not store the result of the check.

Server logs. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider stores technical access data (IP address, time, page accessed, browser). This serves security and operation. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), via whose network the website is delivered.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies for advertising or analytics purposes. For the website to function, data is temporarily stored in the browser: the not yet submitted draft of your request, so that nothing is lost when the page is reloaded, the origin details (see above), and the summary of your request for the confirmation page. Everything is kept in session storage and is deleted when the browser is closed. Should audience measurement be used in future, this will be done in a privacy-friendly way without personal profiles or only with your consent. Details under cookie settings.

Disclosure

We only disclose data to the extent necessary for processing: to the hosting provider Cloudflare, Inc. (website and request database), to Web3Forms (Web3Forms, Inc.) for forwarding new requests to us by e-mail; this transmission is sent directly from your browser after the request has been stored with us and, for rides invoiced to third parties, to the paying party (such as your company) to the extent required for invoicing. Service providers: to be added before publication. Data is only transferred abroad to countries with adequate data protection or with appropriate safeguards.

Retention

We retain request and ride data for as long as is necessary for processing and as required by statutory retention obligations for business records. Specific periods: to be added before publication.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to rectification, erasure and data portability, as well as the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, please contact the address given above. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, EDÖB).

Data security

The website is delivered via HTTPS. Requests are transmitted in encrypted form. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Changes

We will amend this policy if the processing changes. The version published on this page at the time applies.
