Taxi to Zurich Airport: how to plan your ride from Aargau

Pick-up time, luggage, return flight and price: what to know before your airport transfer so that your travel day starts calmly.

The pick-up time: count backwards

The key question before any airport ride is: when does the taxi need to be at your door? Count backwards from your departure time:

departure time from your booking,
minus the time you want to be at the airport before departure, for check-in, bag drop and security,
minus the driving time from your address to the airport.

Our pick-up calculator works exactly like this. By default it allows 2 hours at the airport if you check in bags and 1 hour 30 minutes with hand luggage only. That is our own recommendation, not a rule of the airports. Your airline's information always takes precedence, and you can change the buffer in the calculator. The calculator takes the driving time from a route planner and rounds the pick-up time down to 5 minutes.

What does a taxi to the airport cost?

From many places in Aargau a flat rate per ride applies, for 1 to 7 passengers. To Zurich Airport: Spreitenbach and surrounding area CHF 100; Baden and surrounding area CHF 130; Brugg, Windisch and surrounding area CHF 150; Wohlen and surrounding area CHF 180; Lenzburg, Holderbank and surrounding area CHF 200; Döttingen and surrounding area CHF 200. To EuroAirport Basel: Spreitenbach and surrounding area CHF 340; Baden and surrounding area CHF 310; Brugg, Windisch and surrounding area CHF 280; Wohlen and surrounding area CHF 340; Lenzburg, Holderbank and surrounding area CHF 310; Döttingen and surrounding area CHF 280.

Each area includes its neighbouring villages. You can find them in the list below the table of flat rates. Pick-up at the airport costs the same as the ride there. If you book the outward and return ride together in advance, you get a 10 % discount on both rides.

If you live outside these areas, we charge according to our tariff, or we agree a fixed price. You see the estimate for your address as soon as you make a request. The price becomes binding with our confirmation.

Coming home: give us your flight number

For a pick-up at the airport we need your flight number and the scheduled landing time. That way we go by the actual landing. The meeting point and the waiting time included are stated in the confirmation. If it takes longer, for example because of a delay or a long wait at baggage claim, we charge the extra waiting time according to our tariff (CHF 65.00 per hour).

The easiest way is to book both rides in the same request. Choose «Return trip» and enter the return flight number in its own field.

Luggage, child seats and groups

Tell us about your luggage: state the number and size of suitcases in your request so that we can plan the space. A surcharge of CHF 5.00 may apply for luggage that was not announced.
Child seats: on request. Give the age and height or weight of each child; we confirm whether the right seat is available. Children under 12 and shorter than 150 cm travel only with a suitable child seat.
Up to 7 passengers travel in the Mercedes V-Class. With every seat taken, luggage space is limited; tell us how many suitcases are coming.
From 8 passengers we use a minibus with 9 or 16 to 17 seats, on quotation.

Booking for someone else

You can also book the transfer for guests, family members or employees. Choose «For someone else» in the request and enter the passenger's name and phone number. Companies can have airport rides billed to their business account on the monthly invoice.

If your plans change

You can cancel or move a ride free of charge up to 24 hours before the pick-up time, airport transfers included. After that, cancelling is still free as long as our vehicle has not yet set off to you. The details are in our cancellation terms.
